Jenna Bush is Married - We Will Never Love Again

Jenna Bush, daughter of W. got married on Saturday. Her twin sister, Barbara, came dressed as a spring nymph. Reacting to this news, I’m sure a bad blogger would make some Wedding Crashers joke and a good blogger would expose the groom’s ties to the Chinese intelligence community. All I’ve got is pointing out that the photographer couldn’t get the white balance right. They are all blue, like giant, evil, smurfs, Now I’ll grant that mixing natural light and artificial light can be a challenge, but getting it right is wedding photography 201 (not the first thing your learn, but still pretty fundamental.)

Now I know that paying attention to the details isn’t the Bush administration’s strong suit, but finding a photographer that knows how to use a fill-flash isn’t exactly reconstructing Iraq.

In addition to everything being sort of blue, some of the pictures are off center. Take the first picture as an example. It isn’t that hard to center 5 people; you put the person in the middle in the middle of the frame and voila. Sure it would have been tasteless to put the groom right in the middle of the cross, but is it that much more tasteless than having a giant stone cross on your ranch? Hopefully only the Whitehouse photographer is a hack and they hired someone competent for the photographs that are going into the national security archives.
Update: They’re capable of color correction! Take that terrorists!

Dear lord, I hate to see what kind of searches we’ll get on this one.
